Hunger, displacement, family members missing… these floods have caused devastation beyond belief to communities and neighbourhoods across the nation.
The situation at PPR Section 26, Shah Alam was no different. As flood waters recede, these families and individuals have to rebuild from scratch. In efforts to relieve some of the burden, FreeMakan, together with UPLIFT (Pertubuhan Bangkit) and the BAC Education Group, delivered dry items to 20 families at the flats. Thanks to the generosity of the Malaysian public, these items were sponsored.
Their relief and gratitude were palpable. We want to ensure that no family gets left behind in this process of recover. Let’s keep the #KitaJagaKita spirit alive – there is much to do!
